This is an 11-year-old boy who was suffering from tension hyperhidrosis, a condition that causes excessive sweating of the hands and feet in stressful situations. Typically, hyperhidrosis sufferers only complain of clammy or slippery hands and feet, but in this case, his symptoms were so severe that when he started to sweat, they would just drip right off. His summer flip-flops would get so wet and slippery that water would pool on the bottom, making them difficult to wear, and when he played his favorite piano, the keys would become soaked with sweat that it was difficult to continue practicing.
